What is Sequence?

There are a lot of things that can contribute to the rhythm of a book, especially in accordion form. As I was looking through all of my cut magazine pieces, I found myself mostly looking for consistencies in color and alignment. In an accordion book, it is important to have these things remain consistent so that the viewer can easily be guided from page to page. These ideas could also be applied to magazines or books, even though you're only looking at one spread at a time. A magazine will not be as interesting or rewarding to look at if it isn't coherent.
